Attack on Titan is one of the most popular anime series worldwide. It is based on a manga that was created by Hajime Isayama, and has been running in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since September 2009. Attack on Titan focuses on Eren Yeager and his friends as they try to survive the invasion of Titans, giant humanoid creatures who eat humans seemingly without reason, who have all but wiped out humanity. There are many powerful characters in this show which makes it difficult to rank them. But here are my top 10 favorite characters from the show!

Eren Yeager
Eren Yeager is the main protagonist and one of the major characters of Attack on Titan. He is ranked as the most powerful character in the series. Eren has a very powerful Titan form that is more than capable of taking down Titans, in which he became known as “The Strongest Man” among all of humanity.

Mikasa
Eren’s adoptive sister and one of the most powerful fighters. She is able to use the 3D Maneuver Gear with great skill, and is a Titan-fighting prodigy. Mikasa is a strong fighter who can take down Titans in seconds, as well as fight other humans. Mikasa has a deep respect for Eren, thinking of him as her sworn elder brother. Mikasa always watches over him and does whatever she can to protect him from anything that could hurt him.
Armin
Armin is a boy with a kind personality. He often looks for the best in people and thinks about situations from many different perspectives. But his kindness does not make him weak. Armin has demonstrated that he can be cunning and make tough choices to protect himself or others in order to survive.
Levi Ackerman
One of the most powerful characters in Attack on Titan is Levi. He is brutal and deadly, but also selfless and has a sense of justice. Levi cares about his own well-being, but he will do anything for those close to him. One way that Levi uses his power is by fighting the Titans with his three Dimensional Maneuver Gear devices, which allow him to move around quickly in 3-dimensional space.

Hanji Zoe
Hanji Zoe is a close friend of Eren Yeager. She is the team’s expert in Titan research and gets on his nerves with her curiosity.
Hanji is the best character in the show for me because she is so interesting to watch, and always has something new to offer. She always does something hilarious or exciting which makes her a favorite for me.
Connie Springer
Springer is one of the most powerful characters in Attack on Titan. He is able to control earth, and is also a very skilled swordsman. He joins Eren’s group after they escape from Trost District, and he remains with them throughout the series.
Annie Leonhart
Annie Leonhart has been at the center of many mysteries in Attack on Titan. She is a graduate of the 104th Training Corps, who was said to have exceeded all other graduates in her skill, and was on top of the ranking during the Battle of Trost. However, it turned out that she was working for the Military Police Brigade, and her true objective was to kill Eren and Historia if they had revealed themselves during their mission.

Petra Ral
Petra is a graduate of the 104th Cadet Corps and is one of the most skilled members in the military. She is always calm and can assess a situation without panicking. Petra has some of the best skills in combat, as she relentlessly pursues and kills Titans in order to protect her comrades.
Erwin Smith
Erwin Smith is one of the most powerful characters in the anime and manga series, Attack on Titan. He’s a military leader and an expert strategist who has helped lead humanity to victory against the Titans. Erwin is viewed as a great hero by many people in his society, including those outside his army. Though he’s not a Titan Shifter, he has managed to use clever strategies and tactics to outwit titans time and time again. He was first introduced in Chapter 10 when he led the combined military forces from Wall Rose with some difficulty to Wall Maria. His most noteworthy accomplishment was leading the Survey Corps to retake Trost District during the Fall of Wall Maria.
He later went on to negotiate peace with Marley, but failed due to disagreements over how much land should be ceded back to Marley for their lost population during Wall Maria’s restoration.
On top of being a military leader, Erwin Smith is also an avid reader who always carries two books with him wherever he goes – one fiction and one non-fiction or historical text – which makes him quite good at analyzing situations. He also has good cooking skills. One of his hobbies is playing chess with himself using different strategies and he likes drinking wine that comes from Kraljevstvo (the Country) because it tastes sweet.
Sasha Braus
Sasha Braus is a member of the Survey Corps and the youngest member of the 104th Training Corps. She has a strong will, is determined to fight back against Titans, and is quite cheerful. Sasha’s background is unknown aside from the fact that she comes from Shiganshina District. She goes on to graduate in the top six of her class and joins the army, where she chooses to serve as a combat instructor at Trost District’s military headquarters. Sasha has long blonde hair with a braid and green eyes.
