The History of the Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are an NFL team based in Seattle, Washington. They are a member of the NFC West Division of the NFL. They were founded in 1962 as an expansion team. They went 3-9 that first year and then were at the bottom of the standings the next season. In 1968, the team finished last place in the Western Conference. But then they won five of their last six games that season to go 8-5-1. In 1969, they started the season 2-4, but then they finished 5-4-1. They were 2-6-2 in 1970, and then 4-4-1 in 1971. They finished in third place in the West in 1972 at 7-5-2 and then 7-4-2 in 1973. They finished in second place in the West in 1974 at 10-4 and then won the NFC West title and advanced to the NFC championship game in 1975.
